The Honda BF150 XU has an Extra Long Shaft 25" leg, Basic flexible rigging, Tachometer and Trim Gauges, 20ft harnesses, side-mount control and 3-blade alloy propeller. Add to this the Electric start and 5 year domestic warranty*.
The Honda BF150 XU 150hp outboard engine was developed under the concept of achieving a “human and environmentally friendly, economical 4-stroke engine of the highest quality”. Based on Honda’s unrivalled 4-stroke experience, it was designed to comply with the strictist exhaust emission standards, while offering the best in performance, economy, comfort, reliability, easy rigging and easy maintenance.
The BF150 outboard shares the same 'brutal-but-sexy' styling cues of the range-topping 3.5 litre V6 BF225 and are marinised derivatives of the engine at the heart of the new award-winning Honda Accord car. This state-of-the-art 2.4 litre unit is equipped with VTEC in the BF150 making it the first ever DOHC marine engine with variable valve timing and lift technology, giving both high torque at low revs and a high top-end output from the same engine.
Lean-burn operation is also achieved through the use of a fuel injection system equipped with LAF (Linear Air/Fuel Ratio) - another world first in a marine outboard engine. The engine also features a Variable Air Intake Port System that ensures even power output throughout the entire speed range. At the same time as delivering superb performance, fuel efficiency, and reliability the engine exceeds the US CARB (California Air Resources Board) emissions regulations for 2008.
